Stealth Posted September 22, 2004 Report Posted September 22, 2004 ok heres what I did, the tranny fluid is the color of slightly worn 5w-30 oil. I have NO CASH WHATSOEVER, I decided to take some fluid out and put a bottle of lucas in and fill the rest with new fluid, I put a tube down the dipstick hole and sucked out the fluid with a vaccume anyway I took about 1.5 litres out put the lucas in and almost the full bottle of tranny fluid, the shifts are alot smoother and it shifts about 2 times faster before there was a big delay in the shift when the rpms were high and the downshifts took about 1-2 seconds now its instant. anyway has anyone ever done this? it runs alot smoother now, I was shittign bricks when I started it tho Quote
sl3196 Posted September 22, 2004 Report Posted September 22, 2004 When you get the money do a pan drop and change the filter and fluid. Quote
Stealth Posted September 22, 2004 Author Report Posted September 22, 2004 ya the part im just worried about is the sucking of the fluid out of the fill tube would that do anything?? Quote
Brian P Posted September 23, 2004 Report Posted September 23, 2004 many shops have the big tank that converts air pressure for the tools into vacuum, suck fluid out the fill tube and call it a "fluid exchange" Quote
