maybe2fast
what size tire should I go with if I get the 17x7 rims, I want to keep the speedo accurate!
jeremy
http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html I personally think 245/45/17s are the best size for a w-body, but I would only put those tires on an 8" wide rim....
GPRACER
Use whatever size you want. http://www.blackrobotics.com/
Nick1234
on 17x7 tire, i have 225/45/r17 tires, but the diameter is alittle smaller than the stock tire so my speedo is off by about 2-4mph? I know its off slightly though, anywho, i found 225 plenty wide bu maybe try 225/50/r17? Something with a slightly bigger sidewall. nick

GnatGoSplat
What size was originally on your car? 225/55R17 = 26.7" diameter 225/60R16 = 26.6" diameter 225/55R17 is the closest match for a 7" wide rim if you had 225/60's before. 235/50R17 (26.3") is the closest match if you had 215/60's before (26.2"). I don't think it's a good idea to go to 245's on a 7" wide rim.
