hey guys...I know I've been outta the loop for a while but I've just been soakin up this summer weather and cruising my GP big time...I know my wifes 87 cutty wagon isnt a "W" but it does have the 2.8MFI engine and we've been having trouble of late with it running rough when started in the morning...yesterday we tried to crank it up to head over to home depot and it refused to start on several tries...it sputtered and popped so badly I almost thought the timing chain had jumped...once it finally started up it ran very rough and then seemed to smooth out just fine...the whole trip over to the depot and back it made not a peep of missing or running rough...I tried a couple of full throttle runs to see if I could make it act up but it never did...this morning I tried to crank it again before I left for work and this time it started much easier but still ran pretty rough with a fair amount of sputtering until it warmed a little...could this be a bad O2 sensor?...or possibly a bad hotwire sensor at the throttle body?...or could it ba faulty coil pak?...any info would be welcome because we all know how unhappy our main squeeze can be when her car no worky!
