Black5spdZ
Does anyone make a "stroker" kit for the 3.4? I bought a 5spd with a rebuilt motor it has 2,500 miles on it now and i have a little more diagnosing to do but i believe it has a sloppy wrist pin. so i have to pull the bottom end down and was just curious if anyone made a different crank and rods???? Black5spdZ
that is what i thought because it is the same block as the 2.8,3.1 right??? Iwas just curious because the top end is new and the motor is bored.030 over so its fresh, but i thought if i have to pull her down on the bottom maybe i could have some fun with it
GutlessSupreme
no.. I believe besides the fact that it's a 60* V6, it has pretty much no relation whatsoever to the 2.8 or 3.1.. (under the assumption we're talkinga bout the DOHC here, which it strongly seems so)
conley3.1
I thought the LQ1 was just a bored version of the 3.1 block with no lifter galleys?

There is a different crank available from JBody Performance, its pricey and is a stock profile however its forged steel and is 10lbs lighter than stock. Thats it for cranks for these motors however the guys over at 60v6 have talked about modfying a 3400 block to accept a 3500 crank which is also forged steel and lighter. manitcor
its right here about $900 US http://www.jbodyperformance.com/bottomend.html and I lied, it is customizable and fits all 2.8, 3.1 and 3x00 blocks (well prob not the 3500 but who would swap one of those POS's in)
