Heza Posted September 20, 2004 Report Share Posted September 20, 2004 so i fired up my GTP today after two weeks and got an SES light...scanned it and came up with misfire on #1. eh...ill go with clogged injector. figured it would be ok now that im gonna start tearing my 3.4 down to the block and build it back up with fresh seals. Heza Posted September 21, 2004 Author Report Share Posted September 21, 2004 So when is this teardown gonna take place then? starts this weekend. a lot of the time involved will be just to polish the upper intake plenum and the front valve cover. i was going to go down to the block to change the oil pump drive the right way, but im pretty sure its not leaking...even a little. so...ill tear down to the lower intake gaskets and see from there. i do know my intake gaskets are on the last leg. my kent moore 3.4 dohc engine tool kit is pretty darn useful looking though!
