Speckkial
I've read various posts about different kinds of rotors. My question is, what is the advantage of having one kind over another kind? (I.E. drilled, slotted, etc.)
Guest JBodyBoy
If I am correct, which most likey not, but.... Slotted rotors allow for brake dust during extreme or constant braking to get out from under the brake pad and away from the rotor. It raises the stopping power by allowing for way less pad slip. The drilled parts allow the rotor expand and cool faster during heavy braking. Thus allowing the rotor and pad to handle more abuse and go longer during the event (street, track, or fucking around in a parking lot). Speckkial
I ask this question because I'm in a car club and when we ride through the city, sometimes we brake heavy because we try to stay together and we come real close to eachother. Which ones are best for me?
