whiteSE
Well, I did it today - I replaced the starter. Boy oh boy what a pain in the A**!!! The only way I could wrestle the damn thing out was to remove the oil filter. Who designed this stuff??? It's almost like some of it was never designed to be removed! Not to mention the fact that there was so much sludged up dirt that was coating everything down there. My hands were black when I was finished! She now fires right up with no problems and no, it wasn't a fluke because I used her to return my old starter for the core refund and never had any problems. It feels so good to know that I am capable of doing something like this - definitely a good ego boost Thanks to all those on the boards who helped me diagnose the bad starter.
