91GranSport Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 I heard that the Supercharged 3800 Series II had two different supechargers, M90 and M62. What are the differences, what years were they used, and if you were to purchase a brand new Supercharged 3800 Series II, which supercharger would it have? Thanks. Quote
Chris A Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 In 92 and 93 IIRC the 3.8 SC used an M62 supercharger. I believe those years made 215 hp. In 1994 and 95 some engine changes were made but it still used the m62 sc, however with a larger pulley. A common mod for 94 and 5 is to use the earlier smaller pulley to get more boost. In 1996 and up the engines were changed to the Series II and use an M90 SC. The biggest difference is how much air they will displace on each revolution. The M90 is just a bigger SC. Most feel that the m62 is a better match however. try http://www.magnuson.com for more info. Quote
