Phat Pat
this is an intermitent problem, it seems to only happen after having driven for more than 20 minutes when the car is stopped fully, it will die. the car will idle horribly, and when driving, it seems almost like its missing. It also lunges, but this happens uniformly and doesnt vary much. the best way I can describe it is like a wheel attached to a motor, but offset. it isnt all that severe, Im not shaking out of my seat, but its nothing you could ignore. it isnt overheating, the oil is fine, and after it sits for 10-15 minutes it will go back to normal. anyone have any ideas? If, or rather when, it repeats itself, I'll have a better idea, but I wanted to see if someone had something simmilar happen.
94CutlassSLCoupe
how old is your fuel filter?
DaveFromColorado
could be fuel filter, TCC lockup solenoid, or ignition module. --Dave.
THe_DeTAiL3R
could be other sensors too, such as the IAC. Do a full tuneup.

phantomshado
my car did pretty much the same, it was a vacuum leak combined with some ultra old plugs. Change the plugs, or regap them, and check the whole engine for vacuum leaks. After mine got those done if ran like new again.
Phat Pat
the fuel filter is probably in bad need of replacement, I've overlooked it thus far, but thats an easy thing to replace. spark plugs and wires are new. thought it might be vaccum, I'll have to check that as well. when you say full tuneup, what exactly do you mean?
