Black5spdZ Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 Does anyone have nitroud on their 3.4 ? I" was looking at some cars this weekend that had it and they said it was a fairly simple install. My Z is a 5speed with a new clutch and only 2,000 miles on a completely rebuilt motor. I was thinking of running between a 50-75 shot with a wot switch. I want to get my z into the 13's. I know some people believe this is cheeting or cheap hp but i used to own an LT1 z28 and i think it would be fun to have a w body close to as fast as that was Quote
KING JOKER Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 you can try nitrous but i would not recommend it. too many friends have lost their engines to nitrous. but then agin u r most likely not as stupid as my friends Quote

DaveFromColorado Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 there's a guy from 60*V6 who was runnin' giggle juice on his 3.4 - I think he was only runnin' like a 50 shot tho. didn't have any problems with it. --Dave. Quote
Black5spdZ Posted September 16, 2004 Author Report Posted September 16, 2004 i read on one of the nitrous websites between 15-20hp per cylinder is safe as long as your motor is in "good" mechanical condition Quote
DaveFromColorado Posted September 16, 2004 Report Posted September 16, 2004 25% of total engine output - 200hp = 50shot of N2O --Dave Quote
no1kicker Posted September 16, 2004 Report Posted September 16, 2004 I believe a wet shot is safer. Something about running to lean that can damage the engine. Quote
DaveFromColorado Posted September 16, 2004 Report Posted September 16, 2004 I'd never run a dry shot, easy way to blow up your motor if you do. Running lean will produce more power, but you'll also get preignition, and "hot spots" as the extra fuel is not there to cool the mixture. --Dave. Quote
jeremy Posted September 16, 2004 Report Posted September 16, 2004 I believe a wet shot is safer. definitely Quote
Psych0matt Posted September 16, 2004 Report Posted September 16, 2004 You could always just run it into the air vents, and after a little bit you'll just think you're going that fast... Quote
