topless94style
I have been getting a SES light all summer, but its more frequent now. It used to only come on for a few seconds on the freeway, but now it comes on every time i drive the car. After driving for a little while, sitting at a light, the idle is poor, moves between 400-700rpms. Went to auto zone, got the code, dont remember the number, but it was a lean condition on a bank of cylinders. Since then, i have noticed my mpg drop 2-3mpg. O2 sensor? I put in a new O2 sensor last fall when this same sort of thing happened, only last fall it was a bad intake manifold gasket; which i replaced and it fixed all my problems. Havent found a vac leak, dont think its the O2, and im hoping its not another gasket leak. Any ideas as to what this could be?

PeNZ
I dont think an o2 sensor would only cause one bank to lean out, since its outputs goto both banks.

Thats why i dont think its the O2, plus id be pissed if it failed in under a year anyway. I saving up right now for a new head gasket set, so i can put on my new heads, and fix that bastard oil leak. Hopefully this will also fix whatever is causing this problem.
PeNZ
It might be some sticking fuel injectors, on the back side.
midnight rider
I was going to say the same thing, she sounds like the injectors are sticking...
hosser
have you ran some seafoam / fuel injector cleaners through it?
topless94style
have you ran some seafoam / fuel injector cleaners through it? I ran seafoam at the beginning of the summer. I went to the track on friday, and i THINK this problem is causing my car to be....well....horribly slow. Atleast i hope so, and my car really isnt this slow 10.62@68mph in the 1/8. dkorinko
whenever my car would start to run a little lean, I would run some 103 through it, seemed to always get things cleaned up and working back to normal.
