what do i need to have to change out my 91 gp 3.4 auto to a 93 olds 3.8 supercharged ive got the olds car just need to know what i need to keep of it and what im looking at to have to buy parts wise axles ....ect....

and will the H frame swap out of the 93 olds 88 or might be a olds 98

i had it gave to me for free did not know if it would be worth changing oh ive got a rod knocking in the 3.4 thats why i was thinking of this ?? would it work if had to be is it harder to change the gen 2 in a 91 how easy wold the gen 1 be ?

why would you swap out your 3.4 DOHC? i mean the n/a 3800's are nice but not to the power of the 3.4 DOHC man!

I think he is talking about the supercharged motor

 

there are a few options. you can drop that motor in using buick regal parts and engine harness and getting a chip burned

 

you can use the L67 which is the series 2 and do the same thing with the regal harness and use your stock trans.

 

next option is L67 motor and trans and add the wiring to the data port inside your car for the OBD 2 stuff.

 

any one will work it just depends on power and reliablity

Actually the RPO code for the Series I and the series II S/C 3800's are the same.

i know they use the same code....i dont refer to them that way because it is to confusing for some people

91-93 = 205hp and 260tq

 

94,95 = 225hp and 275tq

You can get more boost from the 94,95 just by putting on the 91-93 pulley.
