Bi-directional Serial Data Link between Cluster & ECM?

How does this route to the cluster in my 90 Lumina? I need to route this to get the UB3 to function.. I got the other orange figured out.. Gonna run it off the radio harness.. lol. Let me know!

for the tach signal right? i spliced onto the orange wire on the ALDL plug and ran it up to the cluster. tach works great now :)

Ok.. lol.. If thats what its for :P .. Its just, my Lumina has a Tach. and there is no Orange wire on its plug.. But if its something to do with the Digital part of the equation, then Ill run it there! THanks!

Does the Bi-directional Serial Data Link between Cluster & ECM have ANYTHING to do with the operation of the Tach.? It is orange in color on pin location C13 for the Cutlass..

yes. the tach in the Cutlass UB3 cluster will not work without it. the serial data wire also 'tells' the cluster where the redline is.

Thanks Josh..! Woo! Now I can go out an play with this thing today! Gonna re-assign the Lumina pins for now so I dont have to cut the wires yet as I haven't finished the housing for the bitch yet.. lol!
