kcac
The car is a 1995 Cutlass Supreme with the factory AM?FM CD/Cassette stereo. Does anyone know what "E 20" means? I'd like to know if I can get any useful information from that message.
godofthunder
its shot i asked this a few weeks ago...the player in my best friends sunbird just did the same thing. It means the laser is shot....if it does it non stop to every CD. You need to get a new deck or a new CD unit jon
kcac
Thanks for the info I guess it's not totally dead - yet. It will play other CDs. But I know something is wrong, because just a couple of days it played without a problemthe CD that it now ejects. The CD is one I burned, no scratches, dirt or fingerprints on it. Guest Anonymous
Mine plays regular CD's but not CDR's (in the 95) i always get E20 and E23, especially if its humid. These decks are old and they suck massivly.
kcac
Well, it is the first time it's been humid here all year. Maybe that's part of it the problem as 92PettyEdition suggested. I tried a cleaning CD, didn't help. What I've noticed is that whether the CD plays or not depends on the brand of CD-R, some play, others get the E-20 message. I had the same problem when I put a cd player from a '94 GP into my fiero....I just stopped buying the CDs that didn't work....
