loominaz34
...Or better yet, put it over the entire carpet so it's like a special two tone floormat package.

DiscoStudd
OXY CLEAN!!! Seriously though, I'd try blotting the oil out then spraying on some simple green and blotting that out. Rinse and repeat...

mfewtrail
Order of Business regarding your situation: 1. Commit Patricide* 2. Try a variety of cleaners on the carpet as suggested above. 3. Replace carpet if necessary *-ignore #1
slick
I'd try simple green.
midnight rider
this worked to remove tar from my house carpet(don't ask, the ole lady still brings it up when she is pissed) I sprayed the spots with engine degreaser and scrubed them with a brush then sprayed the area with carpet cleaner and toweled it off. The carpet cleaner gets rid of the degreaser smell.

Try a variety of cleaners on the carpet as suggested above. 3. Replace carpet if necessary *-ignore #1  That sounds like the best option. A gallon of oil in the carpet is a lot of oil. I had a QUART on the floor of my old GP and it would never come fully clean. It eventually smelled bad enough that I just ripped the carpet out. topless94style
Well, so far i sprayed almost an entire can of foaming cleaner on the stain, and used a shop vac to suck most of it up. I then went out of town for the weekend, and its been sitting ever since. Just one more thing i have to buy for the beast
