no1kicker Posted September 4, 2004 Report Posted September 4, 2004 Last night my car tranny wanted to slip into neutral a few times. Only did it on my way home, started after I got gas. I checked the vacuum modulator on the tranny and it has a T fitting on it. And it looks like one side of the T is not hooked up. But I couldn't find a hose hanging anywhere. Is it supposed to be a T, or just one vacuum line? Maybe it was capped? I'm also going to check the tranny fluid right now. Quote
Robby1870 Posted September 4, 2004 Report Posted September 4, 2004 yeah, get back with us on the color of the fluid. I thought the TGPs had a T on the vacuum line to the modulator to run something for the turbo setup. So, some one with a turbo car, chime in If the fluid is bad, change it now and go to an adjustable modulator Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted September 4, 2004 Report Posted September 4, 2004 One side of that "T" is supposed to be open. Quote
no1kicker Posted September 4, 2004 Author Report Posted September 4, 2004 Hmm, wonder why it's supposed to be open. I plugged it today just to see, and my car shifts better and idles better now. I also had a weird idle issue at the same time last night. Also i noticed that there is a T at the cruise control unit. One end has broken off. Quote
john99gtp Posted September 5, 2004 Report Posted September 5, 2004 i have an adjustable vaccum modulator that i bought off of someone from the board, cant remember who. you can have it if it works with the TGPs tranny John Quote
