Otherwise the pedal feels fine and the car stops fine. I've got new pads on the front, and one side on the rear has new pads and a rotor. Any ideas? taylerade Posted December 24, 2002 Report Share Posted December 24, 2002 yea had the same problem. applied Permatex® Disc Brake Quiet all around where the pads were held. problem vanished. can get that sealant at any parts store for 7 bucks or les. pulled off a webpage (Stops brake squeal by dampening vibration at caliper/brake pad interface. Provides tighter fit and allows for easier disassembly. Protects against corrosion. Compatible with anti-lock brake systems.
