Jcrow Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 Did anyone here put in larger fuel injectors? Did the computer compensate ok? I went to 17lb/hr. It took about two days for the computer adapt to them, but I still get an off idle stumble now and then. It stalled twice after I put it in reverse and start to roll. Quote
PeNZ Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 Just wondering as to why you put bigger injectors in? Quote
Robby1870 Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 yeah, you cant just throw in bigger injectors and expect peformance. And....why 17lb/hr? stock is like 16 Quote
digitaloutsider Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 Ditto on PeNZ and Robby.. Quote
White93z34 Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 expect no performance gains and besides you have to get a chip custom burned for such a application Quote
Jcrow Posted September 2, 2004 Author Report Posted September 2, 2004 I did it because they were out of a '98 lumina. My old ones leaked, I had one that was differant from the rest, and I didn't want to pay for new ones. I tested them out and two were dirty, So they all got an ultrasonic cleaning in a caustic solution, after they all flowed the same. PS It runs awesome now! except for once in a while the off idle stumble. I figured the computer could handle that small of an increase! Quote
Jcrow Posted September 3, 2004 Author Report Posted September 3, 2004 Its wierd, today it did not stumble or stall! It ran perfectly smooth. Maybe it take a while for the computer to learn them. Its been about 5 days now. Quote
SleeperRed90TGp Posted September 7, 2004 Report Posted September 7, 2004 Don't know why it took 5 days but your size should have zero effect. I am using 30# with stock ECM and it runs great right out of the box. Jud Quote
