If i had my Convertible again i think i would do that and i think you should do same thing since it looks better.

But is it really a Cutlass S?

 

I thought the last year for the Cutlass S was 1977, as shown here:

My first car was the 1973 Cutlass Supreme, notice the rear window roofline angle is different on the Supreme than on the S.

He said there are no tears or rips in the seats. Then what's wrong with the side of the drivers seat just above the plastic?

When did they stop putting badges on the sides of the CS. Mine doesnt have any, but I have seen some very close to my age with them

how did you see that cut on the seat i would never see it on the picture if you didnt say about it. But maybe its the reason you dont buy cars on e-bay because there every car is perfect.

To answer all of your questions, the S abreveated for Supream not Cutlass S, second all 95-97 Cutlass badges were moved to the rear trunk lid.
