Got my Cutlass Finally!!!

yeah, it is clean but that means the steel stuff is rusted and the aluminum is corroded.

 

It does have a valvecover leak (death to black plastic valve covers) but it isnt bad enough that i am going to worry about it.

the plastic covers were recalled. Grab an aluminum set when you get the chance.

 

10W30 is better than 5W30 for 75,000+ miles except for cold winters, it's the other way around. But you have the low mileage, if I had your car I'd be running Mobil 1 5W30

were they actuall recalled? if so the GM dealer should replace them for free...I know they stopped using them at some point in 1995 or 1996

they recalled them towards the end of '94 so supposedly some early 95's had them too. GM should cover it as far as I'm concerned.

If that is the case, they get to install brand new alumium valve covers on TWO '94 cutlass supremes as my sister's still has the black plastic ones also.

 

I'll definately think about mobil 1 next oil change. Not that i don't think the engine would run 200k+ without synthetic oil
