Well, I have taken my car to a few transmission places and the best price I have so far is $2100 to fix rebuilt my trans. I already have around $7000 in the car. So what the hell is another $2000. The car only has 91000 miles on it. Oh well. Just something else to add to my major credit card debt.

I think dealorships charge less for reman'd transmissions.

seriously, for $2100 you should be able to get a good trans in there, for a few hundred more, you can add some performance options - can't remember the name of the company that has the perf. 440t4/4t60e's but someone here should be able to help ya out...

Damn man, go to http://www.phoenixhardparts.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv and get a reman trans for less than $1k after shipping, it includes a stock torque converter as well.
