DrCheeto Posted August 30, 2004 Report Posted August 30, 2004 Hey, im trying to remove the ignition tumbler on a 91 Cutlass Supreme... (its got that same buff column the luminas have {square,floorshift}).. I cant find the keys, and last time i pulled a lock on a GM, i had to remove the steering wheel and remove the screw and the tumbler popped right out... is it the same on this? (i suppose id need a steering wheel puller anyway...) ... Any Tips? I bought the car for 50 dollars (its really clean, the paint is mint too) , I had a key made, but now i cant find it... I want to make sure it runs before I go wasting more money on ANOTHER key lol.... Any Tips? Quote
digitaloutsider Posted August 30, 2004 Report Posted August 30, 2004 (its got that same buff column the luminas have {square, floorshift}) That's the same column all W-bodies of the era got. Quote

digitaloutsider Posted August 30, 2004 Report Posted August 30, 2004 A 1990 with a round column..? Quote
White93z34 Posted August 30, 2004 Report Posted August 30, 2004 i'm 90% sure alot of 90' base luminas had a really retarted looking steering wheel with a different column Quote
DiscoStudd Posted August 31, 2004 Report Posted August 31, 2004 I remember looking at a base 90 Lumina many years ago and it had the square column. The round (saginaw) column didn't appear on the W-Bodies until 94 for the Cuttys, GP's and Regals (basically when they started equipping them with airbags.) The Lumina got the saginaw column with the 95 redesign... Quote
