Baddflash Posted August 27, 2004 Report Posted August 27, 2004 He should try some graphite in the ignition it may help, or he may need to replace it. You can get the new ignition keyed to match the original. Quote
sl3196 Posted August 27, 2004 Report Posted August 27, 2004 Happened to my sister's gtp. You can get the key out if you reach under the steering column and press the silonoid (sp?) by the keyhole. Just feel the bottom of the sterring column under the keyhole for a little bolt. The button you hit is right on the other side of it. Go to http://www.clubgp.com to find out exactly how to fix it. I think you have to replace the whole silinoid. Quote
Bruticus Posted August 27, 2004 Report Posted August 27, 2004 Not for nothing my mother has this same problem with her 2000 Dodge Stratus the key wont turn complety back you have to move the steering column to get it out. Quote
