93CutlassSupreme Posted August 25, 2004 Report Posted August 25, 2004 whenever i roll down either of my front two side windows, the inside seal at the bottom of the window gets pulled down with the glass into the door any ideas on why it does this? it only started a couple weeks ago, and i finally decided to ask about it Quote
THe_DeTAiL3R Posted August 25, 2004 Report Posted August 25, 2004 Does the window roll down smoothly? (maybe the tracking needs adjustment?) Otherwise my guess is the seal has an issue.. Quote
supreme_style21 Posted August 25, 2004 Report Posted August 25, 2004 Mine do that too.. puts quite a load on the window. Quote
93CutlassSupreme Posted August 25, 2004 Author Report Posted August 25, 2004 both windows go down smoothly Quote
slick Posted August 25, 2004 Report Posted August 25, 2004 Is it just the seal that usually points upwards? If so, I really woulnd't worry about it. IT may just be that it's getting old and more flexible than what it used to be. Quote

DiscoStudd Posted August 25, 2004 Report Posted August 25, 2004 I believe that's called the "Belt Weatherstripping" for those wondering. And, yes the outers are a pain in the ass to remove (at least they were on my old 85 Grand Am.) I can't seem to remember if the inners were attached to the door panel in my Regal or not I believe that's normal for the belt weatherstripping to flex like that. I've seen many cars do that (I remember my 94 Grand Am doing that when it was brand new.) I'd say if it isn't hindering the raising and lowering of your window, then it should be fine... Quote
93CutlassSupreme Posted August 25, 2004 Author Report Posted August 25, 2004 i just hope it doesn't put a strain on the motors Quote
