Black5spdZ Posted August 25, 2004 Report Posted August 25, 2004 if i opt to turn off the egr can i leave it hooked up with out putting in the blocking plate??? Quote
Robby1870 Posted August 25, 2004 Report Posted August 25, 2004 Thats the easiest way to do it, especially if you have a visual inspection only in your state. If you have actual emissions testing, you're still fucked! LOL Quote
Black5spdZ Posted August 25, 2004 Author Report Posted August 25, 2004 how much of a difference will it make???? i have a 92 5spd with full exhaust intake, and its bored out. What should the stock rev limiter be at for it i know my auto is 6500 but i have taken this to 7500 without problems???? Quote
slick Posted August 25, 2004 Report Posted August 25, 2004 Yep. If I ever get this car emissioned checked, im totally screwed. Quote
Black5spdZ Posted August 25, 2004 Author Report Posted August 25, 2004 this car just past emissions in pennsylvania but i live in michigan there are no inspections at all Quote
Robby1870 Posted August 25, 2004 Report Posted August 25, 2004 I think fuel cut is before 7500....factory tachs arent known to be the most accurate gauges Quote
93CutlassSupreme Posted August 25, 2004 Report Posted August 25, 2004 this car just past emissions in pennsylvania but i live in michigan there are no inspections at all don't count in it always being that way Detroit is failing air quality standards, and somehow the city and state have to make the EPA happy..... Black5spdZ Posted August 25, 2004 Author Report Posted August 25, 2004 yeah i know but if i leave the egr there i could just pull the chip because it still has a coverter and that would hopefully make it pass Quote
Black5spdZ Posted August 25, 2004 Author Report Posted August 25, 2004 i thought it was at 7250 but i was not sure the guy said he had a chip for it but it wasnt in it. but maybe he left it on accident????? Quote
slick Posted August 25, 2004 Report Posted August 25, 2004 As long as you leave it all hooked up, when it comes time for the emissions if you put that chip back in there, it should pass. That's only if the rest of the car is legal. Quote
john99gtp Posted August 25, 2004 Report Posted August 25, 2004 im happy i live in NH no emissions, w00t!!! but technically we cant have an exhaust louder then stock, WTF!!!! ghey although i hear something of it cant be above 95dB in the house to be a bill passed or wutever John Quote
