+10HP right?

Did them red to match the body, and so they'd show better through the black crosslace.

The back of the pads and some of the rotor got painted, but thats fine cause they're getting replaced tomorrow.

Big sheet of plastic to mask off everything:

Wheel on: (bad pic to to the sun, and I hate my camera). I think it will also look better with the new rotors and pads.

What kind of paint did you use? Caliper paint or just regular touch-up paint?

seriously, just pop em off and pop the pads out and then lay them on the plastic. come out so much cleaner that way.

definitely better than rice yellow. i did mine with engine enamel and its held up for 3 years.

I would have if I had 5 spoke wheels or something, but since you can barely see them through the crosslace I think I did a "good enough" job. And as I said earlier the pads and rotors WILL be changed tomorrow, cause they are worn out and needed to pass the safety.

I would have taken them off and painted them. It's not that hard to take them off...

 I left mine on, and they came out real clean looking.

There's this really cool invention called Masking Tape...

Just out of curiosity, WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THE STOCK CAST COLOR? With that said, at least they ain't yellow anymore.

I don't know about your car, but mine weren't cast color anymore, mine were rust and brake dust color. Paint keeps them shiny and easier to clean. Otherwise, the brake dust sticks to the rusty surface and needs to be wire-brushed off.

I plan to paint the calipers gunmetal on the 94, which is pretty much the cast color. Gunmetal calipers and black brackets is my plan.

Mine were rust black, and since you can actually SEE them through the wheels I wanted them to look good. With my 88' you can't see the calipers through the sawblade wheels, so I never bothered painting them.

i know my callipers are custom done in rust and brake dust

Turby, what did you use to get the results you have in the 3rd picture!?!?!?!

You mean this one?

I wire brushed till my arms fell off. Then brushed some more. I also used a dremel with a carbon steel brush in it. I spent about an hour on both calipers plus time to paint them.

Also I painted everything outside in the middle winter and brought it inside and hung it from a coat hanger to dry.

Thats what I did to my car. I got sick of the bright red calipers, it was damn near impossible to keep them clean looking so I painted the calipers dark gray and went with black brackets. Its got a nice finished look and its a hell of a lot easier to keep clean.

The car has 2 painted crosslace in the front and donut tires in the back... my friend still isn't finished polishing the other 2 :? .. therefore I don't feel like taking lots of pictures of it yet.

Those actually look pretty good too. Not exactly my color, but they do look good. God, now im itching to do this.
