WhiteOut Posted August 30, 2004 Report Posted August 30, 2004 Update on the problem??? My car is still being a little bitch, and I can't seem to track down the short. Quote
slick Posted August 30, 2004 Author Report Posted August 30, 2004 Nope, ended up not making it up there. So, sometime after class this week im gonna head over to the auto parts store and get a lenght of wire to check to see if its the fusible link or not. Then i'll go from there. Quote
joey b Posted August 31, 2004 Report Posted August 31, 2004 since I put the 94 injectors in, I haven't stalled yet. Probably about 6 weeks ago. Quote
StewBme Posted November 11, 2004 Report Posted November 11, 2004 I'm having the same exact problems as the users Whiteout and Slick94Prix. Alt and Battery good as well. Anyone have a follow up? I'm dying here! P.S. 1994 Cutlass 3.1. Quote
95DropTop Posted November 13, 2004 Report Posted November 13, 2004 Could be a broken wire. Not completely broken, but just the wire inside the insulation. You mention when it gets hot it acts up...the wire expands when it gets hot and causes the ends to separate. Cools down and the problem goes away - until it gets hot again. AS for which wire it is, good luck with that. Quote
StewBme Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 GOOD NEWS! Problem solved! I hope. I used a wire brush on a drill and cleaned up the two battery to body grounds, Cleaned both starter connections (+, -) and cleaned up and reconnected the remote positive terminal. Absolutely no electrical/voltage problems! In fact the electric has never been this good on the car. I really believe the problem was the remote positive terminal. Quote
jeremy Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 I really believe the problem was the remote positive terminal. common issue actually.... Quote

GPdriver1986 Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 The TCC solenoid doesn't look that hard to replace, here are some instructions for a 3T60, the 4T60 must be similar. http://www.v6z24.com/howto/tcc Quote
