Little update on my current project (Blackout) with pics.

Ok, if you've looked at my sig, you would see that I'm currently working on my car project for my 96 GP SE, named Blackout.

Here is a little rundown of my checklist:

Debadge...DONE

Headlight Blackouts...DONE

Arrowhead Blackout...DONE

Tail light tint...DONE

Bumper Reflectors Blacked Out...DONE

Pinstripe Removal...DONE

Side Markers Tint...TO BE COMPLETED

Window Tint...TO BE COMPLETED

Wheels...TO BE COMPLETED

Muffler and Tips...TO BE COMPLETED

So as you can see, blackout is basically just for looks, seeing that i dont have the money or the resources for the fabled L67 swap, or any other significant motor work for that matter.

Anyway, here are some pics. Little Disclaimer: Yes, I know the car is dirty. It is in need of a serious detailing, but the weather has not been nice enough to me to allow that (as you can see in the pics). The tailight tint i did myself with nightshades and clearcoat, it came out pretty good, with some imperfections (it was my first time, I'm happy with it though). Window tint and side marker tint will probably be the last things I do this year, and wait for the exhaust and wheel next spring.

Pics are too big to post.

Doesn't look bad at all. You going with gunmetal or black wheels?

i dunno, I'm still shopping around for the best idea. I might just end up picking chrome/silver wheels to give the car some contrast to all the black (same with the muffler tips)

That thing looks sinister as hell. you need some bright green fog lights for that evil effect driving up behind someone. You have inspired me to finally black primer my pos olds... lol Now if i only had the money... oh well

heh, thanks for the comments guys. It probably wont be until next spring/summer when i get my wheels done, so i have plenty of time to decide.

Dammit, I wish i had the money to get it all done at once, i'm so goddam impatient sometimes.

pics don't work for me either....

they work now....looks damn good...

btw: how much of a PITA was the pinstripe removal??

none at all. I ordered one of those 3m stripe off wheels that go on a drill. That thing takes the stuff off in no time. Took me like 10 minutes total. Gotta be careful though, cause you could burn your paint if you make it go too fast.

This is the site I got it from: http://www.handsontools.com/store/show_product/?product_id=4109

it's great. I also used it to remove the stupid decal the dealer put on the rear bumper.
