dohc v6 Posted August 20, 2004 Report Posted August 20, 2004 i want to get exhaust but dont know the mufflers. i was wondering if any body had any sound clips for a 3.4. Quote
slick Posted August 20, 2004 Report Posted August 20, 2004 For the 3.4, get magnaflows. They sound, and flow much better. Flowmasters sound raspy on the 3.4. Quote
midnight rider Posted August 21, 2004 Report Posted August 21, 2004 I like glasspacks myslef, but I also like a raspy tone...lol Quote
Black5spdZ Posted August 24, 2004 Report Posted August 24, 2004 i have 2 1/2 inch mandrel bent with 2 40 series flowmasters, the only time it is raspy is when the car is cold after that it sounds pretty good for a 3.4 i do have a cat also but no resonator Quote
THe_DeTAiL3R Posted August 24, 2004 Report Posted August 24, 2004 I've hear a Flowmaster on a single exhaust Lumina w/ 3100. I didn't mind the sound but it had this damn droan to it at low throttle. I'd never buy one. :? For my 95 I want to eventually get some Magnaflows or Dynomax. Quote
DiscoStudd Posted August 24, 2004 Report Posted August 24, 2004 I know I've never seen this asked since most everyone here has a 60* V6, but what do the 3800 guys use? I've heard a clip of a Flowmaster 80 on a 3800 Camaro that didn't sound too bad, but what about on a W? Anyone know? Quote
THe_DeTAiL3R Posted August 24, 2004 Report Posted August 24, 2004 Friend of mine has a 97 Regal GS with a Magnaflow XL on that L67.. doesn't sound bad at all. Quote
airman Posted August 24, 2004 Report Posted August 24, 2004 I have dual flowmaster 40's with a 22" glasspack in place of the resonator and it sounds awesome. Also, I have heard Magnaflows on a 3.4 and it sounds very nice as well, but plan on spending a bit more. Flowmasters sound raspy on the 3.4. Yes they do. That is why I put the glasspack on. Quote
