What's the wheel offset that will fit my car?

I'm looking at some new wheels, they are:

 

17x7 diameter

5x115mm bolt circle

42mm offset

 

will they bolt on fine? Or will i need spacers?

You'll need spacers. 5/16" is the thickest you can go without longer wheel studs.

+42mm offset might fit. The factory wheels on my Cutlass were +44mm offset.

I had some +42mm wheels that I put on the '88 Cutlass and they didn't fit... had to shave the front caliper brackets just a little (3mm or so). I put +42mm wheels on my 89 and they also didn't fit, but I had to shave off over 5mm AND add a 5mm spacer.

 

It depends a lot on the wheel design, thickness of the spokes, etc.
