These are the drilled mounts I made up for no1kicker. They used to be black and rusty in spots. Alot of spots. I glass bead blasted them and this is what I got.

How do you get the bushings out to change them?

 

I stuffed a flat blad screw driver around where the metal thing is attached to the rubber to separate them, then pull the metal thing out, then start jerking on the rubber to get it out.....its kinda tough

what kinda tools do u have to do something like this

 

It looks just like a sand blasting cabinet but it uses glass that is ground up until it's almost powder. Works very good for delicate things. It didn't even leave a mark on the rubber bushings. Machine shops use them for things like valves and heads to clean them up.

 

 

I removed these bushings with a screwdriver too. Except I ripped the bushing apart and shoved the other half with metal out the other side. After I jammed the screwdriver in my hand of course. :motz2:

As you can see the poly bushings are meatier. Very easy to install, maybe 15 mins. Little firmer takeoffs, no vibration. I didn't paint them yet though.
