Guest Anonymous Posted August 19, 2004 Report Posted August 19, 2004 These are the drilled mounts I made up for no1kicker. They used to be black and rusty in spots. Alot of spots. I glass bead blasted them and this is what I got. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v293/redturbo90/DSC00101.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v293/redturbo90/DSC00102.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v293/redturbo90/DSC00104.jpg Quote

Robby1870 Posted August 20, 2004 Report Posted August 20, 2004 How do you get the bushings out to change them? I stuffed a flat blad screw driver around where the metal thing is attached to the rubber to separate them, then pull the metal thing out, then start jerking on the rubber to get it out.....its kinda tough Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted August 20, 2004 Report Posted August 20, 2004 I glass bead blasted them and this is what I got. you did what now? what kinda tools do u have to do something like this It looks just like a sand blasting cabinet but it uses glass that is ground up until it's almost powder. Works very good for delicate things. It didn't even leave a mark on the rubber bushings. Machine shops use them for things like valves and heads to clean them up. I removed these bushings with a screwdriver too. Except I ripped the bushing apart and shoved the other half with metal out the other side. After I jammed the screwdriver in my hand of course. Quote
no1kicker Posted August 28, 2004 Report Posted August 28, 2004 Here they are installed: As you can see the poly bushings are meatier. Very easy to install, maybe 15 mins. Little firmer takeoffs, no vibration. I didn't paint them yet though. Quote
