engine stumbling (checked fuel pressure today...)

today my engine was stumbling rather bad on acceleration, so i checked my fuel pressure today to see if it's 'normal'

first i bled the fuel pressure down and removed the schrader valve from the fuel rail. i then screwed on a fuel pressure gauge that my brother and i pieced together at NAPA (we should have gotten a liquid filled gauge...the needle on this one vibrates too much). but anyways...

first i checked fuel pressure with the key on and engine off. i could hear the fuel pump prime. the guage held a steady 45psi.

next i started the engine up. at idle it read about 39psi.

finally i checked the fuel pressure with the engine running but this time i disconnected the vacuum line that goes into the TB from the FPR. i held my finger over the hole in the rubber TB fitting so the engine wouldn't die while i did this. fuel pressure was about 49psi.

i also noticed that the fuel pressure would rise as RPM increase (as expected).

does this sound normal? my car is still having a stumbling issue - i replaced the plugs yesterday and it ran fine afterwards, but it was stumbling this morning. right now i'm suspecting the spark plug wires...i think i fucked one up yesterday when i pulled a boot off one of the old plugs.

oh yeah, my fuel pump is a Masters brand fuel pump that i bought for a TGP application from Checker about a year and a half ago or so. the filter is fairly new also. the sock filter in the tank is probably only 2 months old.

Fuel pressure is good Joshua, start looking for other problems

EDIT: where exactly does the "stumbling" occur? any particular time?(off-idle, on the highway, etc?)

the stumbling was during acceleration, and it idled rough also. i fixed the problem today. i found some extra spark plug wires leftover from my old 3.1 in my garage. i found that plug wire #1 had seperated from the end of the wire inside the boot. i replaced the wire and the engine runs great now, idles nice and smooth too :) thanks!
