Engine or transmission

Intial problem, When approaching 50 miles Hr, before going into overdrive. If the rpms sits at 2500 or higher. Engine or transmission gets

confused and jumps up to above 3500 and does not shift again. Speedometer & Rpms goes up together without shifting. If doing 70 miles, the rpm will show almost 4000. I would then have to pull over, turn the car off, for about 10 minutes and the start again.

Since then I have had my trans rebuilt & replaced, also replaced o2 sensor, TPC and cleaned AIC and still the problem exist. I also notice when I hit bumps constantly the rpms jump up & down. When this starts I have to let off on the gas or give it gas, to try to stop it from jumping above 3500rpms and staying there. I was told maybe my motor mounts needed to be replaced and possible my speed sensor. I don't know. I have been dealing with for over a year and half, with no luck.

Please Help,

Thanks,

P.s.

This morning on the way to work on the interstate, it ran fine as long as my foot was on the gas. When I let off the gas to coast a little and then go back to the gas, the rpms jumped up a little and the car kinda "thumps" or "jerks" like a motor mount is bad or something. The only thing I can think of is a trans-mount but I don't think that would make the rpms jump up a little like that. It feels like the transmission is slipping and then falls back into gear but the transmission was replaced not too long ago. I contacted the Aamco that replaced it for me and they said they'll check it out this weekend. If anyone comes up with anything please let me know.

ahhh I think I know your problem, you got an Aamoco transmisson.

I have yet to hear anything good about them. The reason they have such kick ass warranties is becasue they know your tranny will hose.

And that does sound like either your TC not working right or perhaps a bad valve seal

a bad trans mount can cause some oddball problems. makes stuff move the wrong way and can cause cables to bind up and kink. Can also pull on vacumn lines. Or it could just be that cheap ass Aamoco trany...lol
