GTPrix Posted August 15, 2004 Report Posted August 15, 2004 I'm putting some power leather seats in the cutty... As far as running power to them, does it matter where i get the power from? Would the awg. wire i use have any impact on them? Also, where is a suitable ground to use for them? - Drew Quote
94CutlassSLCoupe Posted August 15, 2004 Report Posted August 15, 2004 I know my sister's '94 SL coupe already had the connector there by the rail near the seat belt. Her car has manually operated seats...my 94 sl coupe has the power leather If it isnt there, i'd use 14 AWG wire and run them to a constant on power source. You could ground it directly too any metal on the floorpan. Quote
GTPrix Posted August 16, 2004 Author Report Posted August 16, 2004 yeah if it is prewired it would be nice.. Quote
midnight rider Posted August 16, 2004 Report Posted August 16, 2004 get an amp wire kit and use a 25 amp fuse with it. should work fine. I've done it a few times. Quote
THe_DeTAiL3R Posted August 16, 2004 Report Posted August 16, 2004 On my 88 I know that the seats are wired up in the same circuit with the cig lighter.. I know cause I blew the fuse for the cig lighter.. Quote
