ACcurate Tranny Fluild Check

Ive heard different things but can anyone tell me how to get an accurate reading from my tranny dipstick, what procedure should i do ???

I'll tell you how I've always done it. Park on a level surface. Start car and let it warm up to operating temp. I always let it go until the t-stat opens. Then I move the shifter through the gears a few times to get the fluid moving. Then check the dipstick. Whenever I change the fluid and filter I put in exactly what it calls for and it's always on the full mark.

Yup, redturbo90 is right on. If I had of done that to begin with I would probably still have reverse, but now I only look to the future! :D
