1988-1997 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme
Ground-Effects Kits

Updated Aug. 28, 2000.

Like all of GM's factory ground-effects, they are among the best and cleanest looking you can get. It should be possible to add factory ground-effects to any low-end Cutlass. This would require getting ahold of the ground-effects on the sides and doors, as well as new front/rear bumper covers. These parts can be found for the best prices at auto salvage yards. They can also be purchased brand new from any GM dealership.

The red Olds above (my car) is shown with the 1988-1991 factory ground-effects in silver (they were also available in body-color). The factory ground-effects were standard equipment on the International Series and optional on the SL. The black Olds above is shown with 1992-1997 factory ground-effects. The older-style ground-effects were flared out more with small, subtle ridges on the sides. The newer-style ground-effects have more aggressive ridges and are less flared out, but have a great-looking curvature on the bottom. It is also possible to update the look of an older 1988-1991 Cutlass by putting on the newer-style ground-effects, but that will require also replacing the hood, headlamp housings, sidemarkers, taillight assemblies, reverse lights, and any inner assemblies or brackets that may have changed.

Ground-Effects kit from Erebuni Corporation Style 117.

Erebuni Corporation has a complete ground-effects kit for the 1988-1991 Cutlass Supreme 2-door that has Ferrari Testarossa-style ridges. This kit is not compatible with cars that have factory ground-effects.

Ground-Effects kit from Razzi, Part #009-100
The Razzi ground-effects kit is similar to the Erebuni kit above, but is a little more subtle. It also is only for 1988-1991 Cutlass Supreme 2-doors without factory ground-effects.

Rear Wings
The following rear wings are custom designed for the Cutlass Supreme.

This is the Cutlass Supreme factory lip spoiler. It is the only rear spoiler I'm aware of that's specifically designed for the Cutlass Supreme. It will only fit on 2-door Cutlass Supremes. It will fit on all 1988-1997 2-door Cutlass Supremes, however, it will require the trunk-mounted lip spoiler and also new taillight lenses. Unfortunately, taillight lenses are not available separately so they will have to be purchased in complete taillight assemblies. On 1988-1991 Cutlass Supremes, the newer-style taillight lenses need to be pulled off the taillight frame and snapped onto the old taillight frame. Part of the chrome trim (black trim on the '91s) will need to be cut off for the newer-style taillight lenses to fit on the older taillight frame.
If you wish to order these items new from a GM dealer, you will need these items:

  • 10206717 SPOILER, R/END (retail $255.00, 11/96)
  • 5976907 LH LAMP, TAIL (retail $122.00, 11/96)
  • 5976908 RH LAMP, TAIL (retail $122.00, 11/96)

These items will obviously be much cheaper if purchased through a salvage yard.

This is a custom rear wing designed for the Cutlass Supreme and is manufactured by Wings West. It is shown on a 4-door Olds, so I'm not sure if the curvature will match the 2-door or not. It is not available with a brake light from Erebuni, but Wings West does offer a version with 15.5" 60-LED light.
Erebuni Corporation, Style 165RW
Wings West Part No. 591250 (no light), 591250L (15.5" 60-LED light)
This custom rear wing is designed for the 2-door Cutlass Supreme, but might work on the 4-door as well. It's kind of squarish and looks almost like a racing wing. It is not available with a brake light.
Erebuni Corporation, Style 244RW
This is a custom rear wing designed for the Cutlass Supreme and is manufactured by Dawn Enterprises. It is shown on a 4-door Olds, so I'm not sure if the curvature will match the 2-door or not.
Dawn Enterprises, FGM51

Universal Wings
If you don't care for any of the above rear wings, you may want to choose a Universal one.
