Reading this whole thread has inspired me..to buy a car cover. My future Cutlass ad @ Craigslist..also coming into focus..says it needs a top. If any of you fellow enthusiasts (for punishment:) want the best & rarest one they ever made, with the super fun timing belt already done and the oil leaks fixed, including that *nasty* factory one.. 619-433-2657 txt. Needs a top, and paint needs clear coat on hood & trunk. Seats *not* great. 102k miles. Clean title. Green/tan. $14k. Firm. Drives excellent & runs smooth as silk. Has the 3.4L & the '95 vastly upgraded interior & CA smog. Only 59 were built like this (CA cars). Maybe half a dozen left. All the others either have the slower 3.1 motor and/or or the 80's looking dashboard. *Only 330* of the upgraded combo were ever built for the *whole country* and most are now long gone with east coast rust, and/or that $2500 timing belt that also retired many of them. Four exhaust pipes vs 1 on the 3.1 liter, also 24v DOHC. Better suspension. Was called the "muscle car package." "Sweeping dash" was a huge upgrade for the time, and still looks modern! But finding one with that *and* the bigger motor that doesn't need a timing belt or dump a ton of oil? You won't find another. Had to remachine the whole bottom of the motor(!) to fix the (factory) gaping hole they all have (x motor) at the bottom of the distributor. $14k is a giveaway!
