Poor thing, many good body parts on her. Thats my favorite color on the Cutlass too. That strut tower bar and 3.4L DOHC V-6 engine cover for sure needs to be snagged, I dont need it but I`d hang on to it for someone else or another Wbody. Same for the tail lights if in good shape. The Timing belt covers and actuator would be some good parts to grab off that as well, especially if the miles are low and the actuator was replaced. Theres an interior light under the "basket handle" that could be useful to someone on here or ebay as well. The front and possibly rear sway bars(If equipped) would be an upgrade to a base model 1st gen. If the keyhole light ring and 3"-5" of its wiring is intact on the drivers door I`d be interested in that personally.

You’re not raining on my parade, I bought the car this way, I’ve been looking for bumper from sale vintage or color matching front end that I can convert back to 96 style. It’s matter of $ at this point . Don’t have ton $$ to do it

So, time and weather converged this afternoon and I decided to take a look at the driver's door latch mechanism. I took the plate on the edge of the door that covers from the back of the door handle, down to the latch mechanism and discovered that one of the rods looked to be bent in an odd way. I went and got a "persuader" (aka a hammer), tapped it on the bend a few times, and then opened and closed the door several times in succession. It seems to be working now. How long that caveman fix lasts remains to be seen, but the problem is solved, at least for the moment.

Not to rain on your parade as I prefer these early style of front ends...but really, if we're talking about legal stuff, that front end is not technically legal. I absolutely love that corner area marked in sort of that grayish color with that emblem in the center. I think it's gorgeous! But, on the newer style Ciera's, there would be a functional illuminated or maybe it's just a reflective corner lens. The previous owner should have also switched out the bumper and kept the light that's mounted in the bumper ahead of the front wheels. Like this. Anyways, just something I noticed but no matter, the car is beautiful and I love it!

The previous owner liked 1986 front end look, so he found OEM front facia and put it on this 1996. I bought it and have been meaning to paint it so it matches. I couldn’t complain about some of paint peel and primer front end because low miles and rust free bottom side

Stumbled across a completely untouched LQ1 at the junkyard. Anyone need anything???
