    LQ1 Timing belt

    Finally back to it. Pulled it all apart, and had some difficulty when cranking the crankshaft when it got near 0. Squirted some lubricant into the spark plug holes. Figure I did let it sit for more years than I should have. That smoothed that out. Cranked the cams so that the flats are up top on each side and mounted the holder. About to go back out and figure out the belt tensioner, after I loosen the cam pulleys. Then put on the new belt Then figure I cycle it a few times by hand to seat the belt, and let everything come under tension.... the align the crankshaft mark and make sure the intermediate is on its mark too. The area I am not sure about is....Do I lock down the cams on the right, then crank a cycle and lock down the ones on the left... and they should be 180 ?
