Got this thing torn down today and cleaned up. Ordered some parts. I may have it running later this week. LQ1 parts are all closeout priced on rock auto, the timing belt was only $2.14!

    Rebuilding again...

Ya know, I'm going to be really heartbroken when I can't keep this car running anymore. Whenever I'm out in it, I feel something that I never feel when driving anymore. I enjoy driving again. So yeah. Right now It's pulled apart to replace a power steering line. Can't wait to go cruising again.

  5. Where are you??? Shipping is going to be expensive, You'd be way better off to just find a local Treasure Yard.

  6. Your current stalling problem when turning the wheel sharply, seems to be more power-steering related than transmission related. I'd be looking at the PS pressure switch and it's wiring. Your previous and current problems with the transmission are going to require real diagnosis. The folks who dicked with the transmission before--telling you that the torque converter solenoid "makes the transmission go into overdrive" should not be trusted.

    1999 Lumina 9C3 L67 swap thread...

Well finally got around to changing the receiver drier and the high pressure service fitting and recharging the AC system, and while I was doing that I had to Tinker with the fans a little bit because one had a bad connection on the passenger side and the fuse was blown for fan 3 so once I replace the fuse and got the fans working for some reason I looked over at the radiator that I pulled out of the Grand Prix GTP and I looked at the fans and they look like they were a lot more efficient than the stock cooling fans on the Lumina because they had a lot more shrouded area. So I pulled the fan shroud off of the radiator and set out to installing it in the Lumina and sure enough I had to remove both dog bones and the one radiator support mount along with the airbox once I did that the fans dropped in like they were made for the Lumina and they work like a champ. AC works way better sitting at a stoplight now in traffic.
